| Cam Gigandet Calls His 'Priest' Weaponry 'Brutal'Late last year, actor Cam Gigandet regaled us with tales of the "unbelievable" weapons his character wields in the upcoming live-action adaptation of Min-Woo Hyung's popular manhwa series. When MTV News sat down with Gigandet and his "Priest" co-stars Maggie Q and Karl Urban, the "Twilight" alum turned the conversation back to the gun his character uses in a quest to rescue his girlfriend from renegade vampires. "They designed and built it, and it was literally, ten pounds," Gigandet told MTV News. "If we're doing a scene and I have to have my hand up with the gun, by the end of the scene it's right here, shaking," he said, lowering his arm. "It was brutal." Previously, "Priest" director Scott Stewart and actor Paul Bettany, who plays the film's title character, explained why the film won't be your average vampire tale. Along with comparing the powers of Bettany's character to a Jedi Knight, Stewart said the story of powerful warriors rendered obsolete after a war with vampires is "a really different kind of story." Attendees at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego got their first taste of "Priest," which is scheduled to hit theaters in summer 2011. Source | |
