Kristen Stewart: Too much fuss for such a small smooch!

The Runaways didn’t see fireworks on the box office, but the movie did get a lot of attention than other movies. Well, one point of attention was Kristen Stewart herself, who was appearing in a non Twilight movie after a long time, and the other thing was her on screen lip-lock with the War of the World kid Dakota Fanning. They played the lead singers in the first all female rock band.

Now, Kristen has stated how much restrictions were imposed on her when that particular scene, in which she kissed Fanning, was shot. She revealed that she wasn’t allowed to grope her. There were some other restrictions as well, and all those do’s and dont’s for a five second, blink and miss smooch scene! But the teenage superstar states that the scene turned out well and it look pretty natural on the big screen.

“Well, she was 15, and I wasn’t allowed to grope her. I’m not kidding. There are major restrictions. But it’s very innocent in the movie, just a kiss. Of course, everyone’s talking about it like it’s a huge deal but it was so natural and impulsive. And it’s like five seconds in the movie.” She told to Stylist magazine

As I mentioned, she played the lead singer of an all girls band. She accepts that she felt a connection with the character. It was the first time she was playing a living character, Joan, who was also one of the producers of the movie. She added that there was a time when she started to think and behave like her.

“I think we really do understand each other, and that’s rare. We have a lot of idiosyncrasies and tics that are really different to other people, and so I feel the role was an easy thing to step into. When we were shooting I was doing a lot of press and I think I was sort of wearing her and projecting her a little bit.” She added.
